Members of the Handknitters Guild are looking for other interested knitters located in the Peninsula region to meet for a ‘Sit and Knit’ meeting on the first Friday of each month between 10.00 a.m. and 2 p.m. The venue is still to confirmed. Quilt and Craft Fair at Melbourne Exhibition Centre

The Handknitters Guild will have a stand and display at the upcoming Quilt and Craft Fair at Melbourne Exhibition Centre – Thursday 24 July to Sunday 27 July. This year the Handknitters Guild turns 21, so stop by and say hello to our friendly members. We will have information available on the Guild and membership and our upcoming workshops – Scrumbling, Stash Reduction Vest, Learn to Knit and Learn to Crochet.

Our next ‘Sit and Knit’ meeting is on Sunday 3 August 2008 at 2.00 p.m. The colour for August will be any shade of brown, so start knitting your whimsies.
Annual General MeetingThe Handknitters Guild Annual General meeting will be held at 1.30 p.m. on Sunday 4 August 2008 (prior to the ‘Sit and Knit’ meeting). All members are welcome to attend. All positions on the committee are declared vacant and nominations are then received to fill these positions for the next year. Think about putting your hand up to come on to the Committee or nominate yourself as a ‘helper’.
