Happy New Year to you all.  Our first ‘Sit and Knit’ meeting for 2009 will be held on Sunday 1 February between 2 and 5 p.m. at Ross House. Please bring along your finished block for the Raffle Rug.  If you are having difficulties please see Shirley at the meeting. Teresa Dair, owner of Dairing in Richmond will give a display of her knitted work and have a selection of interesting yarns to purchase (www.dairing.com.au ).  Bring all of your finished projects for our ‘show and tell’ session.

Geelong Wool Museum – We are planning an informal ‘Sit and Knit’ at the Geelong Wool Museum on Sunday 25 January 2009. Meet at Southern Cross Station in time to catch the 10 a.m. train to Geelong (the next train departs at 11 a.m.). Bring your knitting and name badge. BYO lunch or purchase in Geelong. We will sit and knit upstairs in the Wool Museum and plan to depart on the 4.34 p.m. train back to Melbourne.  Return tickets cost $12.80 adult or $9.20 concession and must be purchased prior to boarding the train.

Membership Renewal – Just a reminder to pay your membership upon receipt of the renewal notification.

Library – New titles added to the library include Knitters Book of Yarn; Knit So Fine; Hooked On Style; 1000 Sweaters; Drunk, Divorced and Covered in Cat Hair; Knitting Rules.  Please remember to return library books at the February ‘Sit and Knit’.
