Little Dipper2

This years market is going to be bigger than ever with over 30 stall holders bringing GREAT stuff. Here are some more of the stallholders not previously mentioned: Shiloh Yarns will be there with their silky yarns, and Spin Addict (Fibres of the Yarra Valley). Metafour Studio will have the beautiful Tasmanian super fine yarn from White Gum Wool, some fibre and weaving equipment as well as some Metafour Studio handwoven originals.

Other stalls are, Crafty Wool Yarns, Can Do Books, Kaye Adolphson Designs, Push My Buttons, Raxor Yarns and Fibres, the Alpaca Yarn Lady,  Coloured Jules mohair yarns, Changeling Coloured Yarns, Little Yellow Cat with Knitting kits and hand dyed yarn, and Madam Tricot with project bags and accessories.

There will also be Guild member’s stalls including Jill’s beautiful cashmere yarns, Barbara’s project bags and knitted accessories, Nola’s hand knit beanies, Angela’s fun project bags, Kay’s preserves, cards and handmade items, Maryanne and Marg with their tea cosies (pictured), and Rose with a stall of knits with her proceeds going to charity. The Machine Knitters Guild will be demonstrating so if you ever wanted to learn how to use one of these machines, this is your chance for an introduction.

Knitwear designer Georgie from Tikki Knits will join us this year and will have her own items, as well as information on her stall about the large-scale, community textile art project called the WARM project.

The Guild will have a stall of second-hand books and patterns and will be offering a yarn winding service so you can get that beautiful skein of yarn you purchased wound into a cake ready for knitting when you get home. We will be selling raffle tickets at the entrance to the market for our 2016 Must Have Blanket (and other great prizes). If you want to know more about the Guild stop by and say hello, there will be some tables and chairs in the foyer if you want to sit and knit for a while. To keep your caffeine levels stable there will be a coffee cart out front. Don’t miss this great opportunity to win a fantastic blanket, touch yarn and meet makers and yarn dyers.
