Sit and Knit/Crochet at Ross House – We sit and knit/crochet on the first Sunday of each month between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Ross House. The Handknitters Guild caters to all levels of skill – whether you’re a beginner seeking your first lesson, a fair isle queen or a cabling or crocheting crusader.

Sharing of skills – Tap into the collective skill, knowledge and enthusiasm of the members of the Handknitters Guild, who happily share their knitting skills to help overcome your knitting troubles.

Workshops / Day trips / Woolly Weekend - Assorted workshops are run through out the year and are open to members and non-members. Members receive a discount on workshops.  The Handknitters Guild organises day trips and an annual woolly weekend where we gather in regional woolly locations, visiting woollen mills and shops.

Library / Old and Vintage Patterns – The Handknitters Guild has an extensive library of knitting related books and patterns. The collection is continually being added to. Up to three books and magazines may be borrowed for a month at a time. Our collection of old and vintage pattern books are available for copying.

Newsletters – Members receive 12 monthly newsletters.

Expos, Fairs and Community Events
- The Handknitters Guild participates, sponsor and demonstrate at a variety of expos, fairs and community events throughout the year. Members are encouraged to participate and support these events.

Charity Knitting - Members of the Handknitters Guild knit for assorted charities and support community projects where knitting is involved.

Knitting on Commission – The Guild regularly receives enquiries from the public requesting assistance in commissioning a person to knit a garment/item for them.  Handknitting or crocheting garments/items takes a lot of time.  The Guild has put together knitting rates and information for our members to give them some guidelines if they elect to undertake a commission.  The information is available in the library.

Discounts
– Members of the Handknitters Guild receive discounts from selected retailers.

2012 SUBSCRIPTION RATES – New memberships are current for 12 months from joining date.
