Beanie and Tea Cosy Competition Winner

Our annual Beanie and Tea Cosy Competition was judged at our 1 May Sit and Knit meeting. Our judges Lindy and Valerie found the quality of the beanies and tea cosies was very high and the finishing to be of a very high standard.

The 2011 winner is Margaret Banks and her beanie that was knitted and felted. Congratulations to Margaret who won the set of Knit Pro Interchangeable needles donated by Morris and Sons – www.morrisandsons.com.au.

Yarn and Craft Market

Our annual Yarn and Craft Market will be held Saturday 28 May 2011 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brunswick Town Hall. Our Raffle Rug will be on display and tickets available to purchase. We are looking for members to help sell raffle tickets and assist with the Guild’s table.

Vacancy – Committee Member

We have a vacancy on the committee of the Handknitters Guild. We are looking for a member to join the committee. This is a volunteer position. The committee meets each month prior to the Sit and Knit meeting. This is a great opportunity to help to support and build the Guild.
